He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thomas and Dreama Thomas; his sister Lora Redmond; and his nephew Wayne Rife. He is survived by: his wife Julia Carson-Thomas; his daughters, Nicole, Natalie and Sylvia; his close friend David Mitchell; Aninina Tomlin, Twila Lively (Brent), Janese Gerkin (Rick), Darrin Thomas, Corley Thomas and Kim (Corey). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and nephews, multiple great-great nieces and nephews.
