He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harvey Hayes and Katherine Dowdy Hayes; his son-in-law Charles "Tim" Prahl; and his great grandchild Kenasyn Hayes. He is survived by: his children, Gina Prahl (Charles Freeland) of McDonald, PA, Jeff (Megan Hayes) and Lana (Rusty Swearingen); his grandchildren, Tyler Hayes (Destiny), Colby Kincell (Sierra), Dylan Kincell, Shawna Prahl, Shayna Prahl, Bryon Satterfield, Rayden Satterfield and Laynee Hayes; his sisters, Judy Hayes Bissett and Sandy Hayes Fluharty; and his cousins, Marjorie Muldrew Talkington and Susie Lopez Jodway. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Masters Funeral Home (209 E Main St, Mannington, WV 26582). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
