She was predeceased by: her parents, Wardia Beryl and Marguerite Calhoun Tennant Carpenter; her husband George Edward Fortney; and her siblings, Jim, Frank, Robert, Gene, Charlie, Donald, Gary, Wayne Carpenter, Dorothy Mae Carpenter and Louise Powell.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Dewayne Fortney of Fairview and Regina Fortney Yoho of Douglasville, GA; her grandchildren, Derek Fortney, Taylor Ashcraft and Brooks Yoho; and her siblings, Ronald, Ward, Russ Carpenter and Lelia Splant. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
