Terry Louise Simons Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Terry Louise Simons (Mannington, West Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 13, 2025 at the age of 63. She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Slater and Olive B. Cross (Shaffer); her husband Lewis Herman Simons; her brothers, Matt Slater and Tim Slater; and her siblings-in-law, Don Lowe, Bentley Campbell and Susan Garrett.
She is survived by: her daughter Miracle Simons (James Wyatt); her siblings, Connie Sayre (Larry) of Clarksburg, Linda Lowe of Farmington, Cindy Slater of Mannington, Tonetta Ledsome (Harry) of Mannington, John Slater (Debbie) of Rachel, Daniel Slater (Katie) of Mannington and Mark Slater (Alice) of Mannington; her sisters-in-law, Tammy Slater of Fairmont and Patty Slater of Morgantown; her uncle Bishop Wilbur Shaffer (Carolyn) of Georgia; and her nephews, Charles "Bunky" Simons and Jeffrey Slater. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Hutson Funeral Home (500 E Main St, Mannington, WV 26582). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. She loved crocheting, crafting, and sewing and she used her talent to help make over 3, 000 masks for others during the Covid pandemic, along with her mother and sister, Cindy Slater.
