fred huffman wrote a sympathy message

“An icon of true Appalachian old-time music, I had the good fortune to have had a few conversations with him at Clifftop, and when he and Dave Bing performed for the Smithsonian, in Washington, DC. Can’t imagine the countless thousands of people around the world who loved his music, and were inspired to learn to play the banjo because of his banjo camps and allowing his tunes to be translated to tablature. Fred Huffman”
