He was predeceased by: his parents, Lacey W. Busey and Blanch Mae Simpson Busey; and his siblings, Marshall Busey, Theresia Young and Daniece Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Lou Smith Busey; his children, Carl S. Busey, Jr. (Sharon) and Ernestine Firaben (Robert); and his granddaughters, Amber Day, Laura Busey, Grace Reddy, Hannah Carter, Sarah Firaben, Rachel Proffitt and Christina Arneson. He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren.
