He was predeceased by: his parents, Sampson Moore and Zenzia Bageant Moore; his son Michael Whitacre; and his siblings, Delmar Moore, Sam Moore, Jr., Ruth Marie Crouse and Lucille DeHaven.
He is survived by: his wife Barabara Feltner Moore; his daughters, Michelle "Shelly" Schoppert (Jeff), Wendie Miller (Jamey) and Candace "Candy" Dalton Pevarnik (Darren); and his grandchildren, Aaron Meislin (Joel), Jacob Riner (Airaka), Cameron Dalton, Emily Dalton (Chris Potter) and Ryan Miller (Shawnté). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
