He was predeceased by: his daughter Dana Lamb; his wives, Sandra Nealy, Kitty Honaker and Shirley Dearing; his parents, LeRoy Andrew Dearing and Ethel Marie Fowler Dearing; and his siblings, Russell W. Dearing, Mary Lorraine Jenkins and Robert Wayne Dearing.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas, Jr., Eric (Brenda) and Darwyn (Vivian); his stepchildren, Bobby Russo (Patricia), Billy Russo and Lori Sage (Chris Wright); and his close friend Betty Kemp. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
