We are sad to announce that on August 9, 2025, at the age of 83, George Hertz of Martinsburg, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As George departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved George. Though George may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hertz and Elsie Forero Hertz; and his former wife Dorothy HertzArrangements. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Panasenich Hertz; his daughters, Kimberley Cmar of Bealeton, VA and Christine Carr of Sykesville, MD; and his close friends, Yogi and Shadow. He is also survived by his six grandchildren.
