He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hite and Izola "Butts" Miller Hite of Virginia; his sons, George Hite, Jr. and Fabian "Tunce" Hite; and his siblings, Larry Hite, Melvin Miller, Leroy Miller and Margaret "Sissy" Benner.
He is survived by: his children, Phil, Scottie, Merle and Linda; his brothers, Kenneth, David, Buster, Ronnie, Roger and Donald; his fiancée Nancy Wood; and his caregiver Chelsy Jianeeny. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, including his partner.
