He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin and Nellie Myers Franklin; his wife Peggy Jean Price Franklin; and his son Richard W. Franklin. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Litten and Carl Franklin (Shelley); and his sisters, Evelyn Caton, Margaret Keesecker and Charlotte Reed. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
