He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Clampitt and Amy Norton Clampitt; his wife Barbara Joan Clampitt; his son John Clampitt; his brother Bill Clampitt; and his sisters-in-law, Mary and Jean Clampitt.
He is survived by: his brother Jack Clampitt; his children, Elizabeth Freeman (Ron Freeman) and Richard Clampitt, Jr. (Erin Clampitt); his daughter-in-law Amy Clampitt; and his grandchildren, Marissa Freeman (Holly Thompson), Elise Freeman (Charlie Wells), LeighAnne Freeman, Alyssa Freeman, Chase Daley, Abbigail Daley, Allison Dugan and Emma Clampitt.
