He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert William and Ruth Elizabeth Fleming Schoppert; his wife Evelyn Trassie Hamilton Schoppert; and his brothers, James Schoppert and David Schoppert.
He is survived by: his children, R. Craig Schoppert (Vicky) of Martinsburg, Michael W. Schoppert (Rita) of Martinsburg, K. Scott Schoppert (Kimberly) of Falling Waters, David W. Schoppert (Victoria) and Robin L. Gibbons of Martinsburg; his grandchildren, Christian Gibbons, Bryan Gibbons, Jessica Schoppert Tyson, Michael Schoppert, Jr., Karah Ventura, Kayla Morton and Dr. Derek Schoppert; and his siblings, Stephen Schoppert (Karen) and Sharon Waters. He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
