He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard William Lewis and Juventa Pierpont Lewis; his sister Juventa Lorraine Coughenour (Clyde); and his son Timur Dudas. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie June Babbel Lewis; his children, Roger William Lewis (Lisa), Melodie June Morgan (Todd), Caralee Evans (Michael), Dawn Noelle Hoch (Kenneth), Juventa Eileen Vezzani (David), Bonnie Michelle Clark (Frank), Michael Andrew Lewis (Christian) and Amy Louise; and his brother Gordon Pierpont Lewis (Joan). He is also survived by 33 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
