She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Stagner and Alice Stagner (Bell); her husband Harold W. Bartles; and her siblings, Mary, Barbara, Geraldine, Margaret, Treva, Jackie, Ross, Irving, Clayton, Leon and Jerry.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard G. Pierce and Dale E. Pierce; her stepchildren, Robert S. Bartles (DeAnn), Ronald E. Bartles (Margie) and Neva Haines (Mike); her nieces, Kathleen Shelton of Portland, OR and Libby Cameron of Summit Point; and her sister-in-law Betsy Stagner of Ranson. She is also survived by step-grandchildren and great grand-children, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pleasant View Memory Gardens (2938 Charles Town Rd, Martinsburg, WV 25401).
In honor of Ruth, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 220 W. Burke Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
