He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Pete and June Theresa VanMatre (Tucker); his wife Barbara Alice VanMatre (Byus); and his daughter Debra VanMatre. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Wayne VanMatre (Stephanie Roush), Melinda Sue Decker (Brian) of West Columbia, WV and April Lynn Parsons of Middleport, OH; and his sisters, Carolyn Roush (Ross) of Mason, WV and Joan Hoffman (George) of Middleport, OH. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
