We announce the death of Robert Barnitz of Mason, West Virginia, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 94. He was predeceased by: his parents, W. O. Barnitz and Ruth Barnitz (Alexander); his wife Corena of Bob's Market; and his siblings, Hayman, Bernice, Judy, Thanet, Wilma, Elnora and Billie Jean.
He is survived by: his sons, William "Bobby" (Susan), Eric, Alex "Scott" (Anna), Jeff (Corinna) and John (Leah); his grandchildren, Eric (Dana), Tony (Jodi), Alan (Beth), Hollie (Jason), Alicia (Adam), Holt (Lex), Brice (Paula), Brogan (Michael), Teran, Madison (Isaac), A'leisia, Reece (Gavin), Kamryn, Mason and Blake; and his great grandchild Ethyn (Pheobe). He is also survived by his family. friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Northbend Church (500 Adamsville Rd, Mason, WV 25260). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at the Kirkland Memorial Gardens (West Virginia 25287).
