She was predeceased by: her parents, Pedro Arguelles and Cecilia Arguelles; her husband Dr. Edilberto Roque; her children, Esperanza Gentile (Dave), Edmond Roque and Englebert Roque; and her siblings, Rudolfo Arguelles, Pedro Arguelles and Tomas Arguelles.
She is survived by: her children, Enrico Roque (Claudette), Lynda Hairston (Elbert), Eileen Buckalew (Jeff), Liz Phipps (David), Maria Ash (Bob) and Ethel Forinash (Sean); her grandchildren, Jill Brown (Darren), Buddy Hairston (Caryn), Justine Walker (Clint), Kelsey Roque, Bailey Roque, Ian Buckalew, Caitlin Groomes (Justice), Seth Forinash, McKenna Forinash, Ryan Roque, Josh Roque, Rachel Perry (Isaiah) and Eli Phipps; her great grandchildren, Ayla, Emlyn and Penelope; and her siblings, Herminia Espejo and Romeo Arguelles.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A Mass was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Michael Catholic Church (708 St Michaels Ln, Gastonia, NC 28052). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at the St Joseph Catholic Cemetery (430 Adams St, Mason, WV 25260).
