She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Paul Burns Sr. and Margaret Jackson Burns; her husband James D. Fields Sr.; her daughter Brenda Fields; her granddaughter Jennifer Cale; and her siblings, Robert Burns, Arnold Burns, Kenneth Burns, Luther P. Burns Jr., Doris Bishop and Barbara Haseleu.
She is survived by: her children, James D. Fields Jr. (Robin) and Diana L. Cale (Terry); her grandsons, Derek, Wesley Fields and Gregory Cale; her sister Maxine Bennett; and her great grandchildren, Savannah, Isabella Fields, Parker Cale, Ashlyn Cutright and Cadean Wolfe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Field Funeral Home (10537 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Masontown, WV 26542). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations in her memory to WV Caring Hospice, PO Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520.
