He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray "Junior" Boring and Mary Elizabeth Boring (Menear); and his son Gregory Boring. He is survived by: his wife Melissa "Missy" Boring of Masontown; his daughters, Cortney Stuchell (Matthew) of Reedsville and Hannah Boring (Camron Sargent) of Kingwood; his grandchildren, Braylenn, Brantley and Emmett; and his siblings, Mary Ann Varner (Vernon) of Kingwood, Vanessa Rossetti of Arthurdale, Robert Boring (Janet) of Maidsville and Patrick Boring (Tammy) of Masontown. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
