She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph B. Turner and Gereldine Turner (Blackburn); her husband Melvin J. Shaffer; her children, Cedric J. Shaffer and Sheila D. Shaffer; her grandson Fredrick N. Shaffer II; her brothers, Niles D. Turner, Kenneth Christopher, Richard "Dick" Turner, Walter S. Turner and Brent Turner; and her friends, Thelma Clingerman and Lorraine Wolfe.
She is survived by: her sons, Neal Shaffer (Florenda) of Masontown and Nick Friend (Samantha) of Reedsville; and her friend Nancy Liston. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
