With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Ray Johnson of Masontown, West Virginia, who passed away on November 5, 2025 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice "Reace" Johnson and Anna Melvernia Johnson-May (Shaffer); and his brothers, Robert Johnson and Rick Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Ray Johnson (Hicks) of Masontown; his children, Michael Ray Johnson II of Masontown, Casey Johnson (Heidi Joanna Tolson) of New York City, Shelby Lane Johnson of Reedsville and Whitney LeeAnna Johnson Graham (Gage) of Lynchburg, VA; his siblings, Jerry "Oogie" Johnson (Dana) of Morgantown and Kathy Klein (Ben) of Solon, OH; his siblings-in-law, Patty Ray Johnson, Susan Hicks Hiser, Kara Cvechko and Thomas Bennett; and his siblings' children, Ricky Ray Johnson, Nicole Johnson, Christopher Shaffer, Jody Johnson, Jessica Johnson and Abi Thomas. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Field Funeral Home (10537 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Masontown, WV 26542). A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mount Zion Cemetery. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Field Funeral Home (10537 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Masontown, WV 26542).
