He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice "Reace" Johnson and Anna Melvernia Johnson-May (Shaffer); and his brothers, Robert Johnson and Rick Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Ray Johnson (Hicks) of Masontown; his children, Michael Ray Johnson II of Masontown, Casey Johnson (Heidi Joanna Tolson) of New York City, Shelby Lane Johnson of Reedsville and Whitney LeeAnna Johnson Graham (Gage) of Lynchburg, VA; his siblings, Jerry "Oogie" Johnson (Dana) of Morgantown and Kathy Klein (Ben) of Solon, OH; his siblings-in-law, Patty Ray Johnson, Susan Hicks Hiser, Kara Cvechko and Thomas Bennett; and his nieces and nephews, Ricky Ray Johnson, Nicole Johnson, Christopher Shaffer, Jody Johnson, Jessica Johnson and Abi Thomas. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
