He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Ray and Glenna Boring (Metheny); the mother of his children Mary Elizabeth Boring; his wife Donna JoAnn Boring; his grandson Gregory Boring; his great grandchild Aubree Boring; his brother Richard Boring; and his son-in-law Ralph DeBardi.

He is survived by : his children, Robert Boring (Janet) of Maidsville, Patrick Boring (Tammy) of Masontown, Danny (Missy) of Masontown, Mary Ann Varner (Vernon) of Kingwood and Vanessa Rossetti (Tim) of Arthurdale; his grandchildren, Aaron (Amy Varner), Matthew (Danielle Varner), Kristen (Wayne Park), Ryan (Sally Boring), Patrick Boring Jr. (Missy Groves), Jonnie (Michelle Boring), Christopher Boring, Chad Boring, Hannah Boring (Cameron Sargent), Cortney (Matt Stuchell), Ashley (Ethan Calvert), Dominic DeBardi, Jade Rossetti, Nico Rossetti (Deserai) and Robert Smith; his great grandchildren, Morgan, Mason, Maverick Varner, Lexie, Hadley Varner, Coal, Reese, Paige Park, Royce, Louella, Lincoln Boring, Brandon Boring, Shayleigh, Landon Boring, Allisyn Cramer, Clay, Savanna Calvert, Braylenn, Brantley Sargent and Emmett Stuchell; his siblings, Roger Boring (Peggy) of Marietta, OH, Carolyn Greathouse of Morgantown, Judy Radabaugh of Morgantown and Kathy Garrett of Masontown; and his sister-in-law Helen Boring of Buckhannon.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (4528 Herring Rd, Masontown, WV 26542).
