She was predeceased by: her parents, George Smith and Wanita Smith (Ayersman); her husband Foster Simon Hess, Sr.; her son Foster Hess, Jr.; her siblings, Bob Smith, Don Smith, George Smith, Dolores Hess, Ada Chipps and Rosemary Leone; and her brother-in-law Robert Hess.
She is survived by: her sons, Darrin Hess of Albright and Bradley Hess (Sara) of Gladesville; her grandsons, Joey Street and Olen Hess; and her siblings, Dennis Smith (Brenda) and Dixie Metheny. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
