With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Fannie Keith of Matewan, West Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Fannie left this world on October 16, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Varney and Pearl Varney (Mills); her husband Edward "Tag" Keith; her former husband Ray Holland; and her siblings, Alfred Varney, Ronald Varney, Paul Varney, Wanda Whitt, Rickie Roberson, Madonna Hatfield (Tag) and Joyce Huff.
She is survived by: her siblings, Faye Hatfield, James T. Varney and Clinton Varney; her daughters-in-law, Dreama Thornsbury and Peggy Harper; her sister-in-law Gaynell Varney; her niece Paula Varney; her brother-in-law Ted Hatfield; her nephew Jeff Hatfield (Sharon Roberson-Cooper); her caregivers, Tim, Melissa Johnson, Charlena Smith and Flora Ratliff; and her friends, Fran Mitchem Keefer, DJ Keefer, Shane Keefer, Brayden Mitchem, Adien Mitchem and Joe Mitchem. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Sprigg Freewill Baptist Church (218 Country Club Dr, Williamson, WV 25661). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
