Loretta Snyder Souder Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Loretta Snyder Souder of Mathias, West Virginia, who passed away on April 29, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carter G. Snyder and Elna "Jean" Hahn Snyder; her husband Orville Lee Souder; her daughter Sarah Souder; and her brother Jim Snyder.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy Wilkins (Marvin) of Mathias, WV and Annette Shipe of Mathias; her granddaughters, Rachel Childers (David), Charity Smith, Lauren Smith (Brent) and Katelyn Fisher (Jeff); her great grandchildren, Austin Smith (Ellen), Seth Smith (Abby), Brinn Childers, Jadyn Whetzel, Xavia Barber, Reed Smith, Sophie Smith and Kenedy Fisher; her great great grandchild Vernon Smith; her stepgrandchildren, Shawn Childers, Brionna Hartman (Bruce) and Caleb Childers; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, John and Jesse Hartman.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home (148 E Lee St, Broadway, VA 22815). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mathias Brethren Church (137 Upper Cove Run Rd, Mathias, WV 26812).
