She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Combs and Edna Miller Combs; her husband Ray Wilkins; her children, Susan Shoemaker and Brook Shoemaker, Jr.; her granddaughter Valerie Ann Shoemaker; her siblings, Hurl, Arley, Harry "Harlen", Ricky Combs, Evilee Combs Barb, Constance Combs Mongold, Lorene Combs Whetzel, Vivian Combs Teets, Margaret Combs Sandstrom and Juanita Combs Funkhouser Bilyard; Brook W. Shoemaker.
She is survived by: her children, Nina "Regina" Shoemaker Keeler (Willie), Shelby Shoemaker, Reginald "Reggie" Shoemaker (Diana) and Michelle "DeeDee" Shoemaker; and her siblings, Lawrence Combs (Corina), Maxine Combs Abrell and Rosetta Combs. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home (148 E Lee St, Broadway, VA 22815). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church (17517 Bergton Rd, Bergton, VA 22811).
