She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Henry Snyder and Ruby Marie Snyder (Shoemaker); her husband Verlin C. Barger; her siblings, Henry Snyder and Linda L. Watts; and her stepgrandson Curtis Kelley.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Allen Barger (Susan) of Scherr, WV, Leon Wayne Barger (Lisa) of Maysville, WV and Phyllis Belle-Oudry (Matthew) of Swansboro, NC; her grandchildren, Shane Roy, Bryan Roy and Amanda Barger Whetzel; her stepgranddaughters, Taylor Kessel and Madison Arbogast; and her brother Mike Snyder (Mary) of New Creek, WV. She is also survived by five great grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home (11 N Main St, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
