He was predeceased by: his parents, Verlin C. Barger and Janice L. Barger (Snyder); his former wife Peggy Barger (Puffenbarger); and his son Curtis Kelley. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Barger (Koontz); his daughters, Taylor Kessel (Cameron) of Burlington, WV and Madison Arbogast of Maysville, WV; his siblings, Richard A. Barger (Susan) of Scherr, WV and Phyllis Belle-Oudry (Matthew) of Swansboro, NC; his niece Amanda Whetzel (Dylan) of Scherr, WV; and his nephews, Shane Roy (Amber) and Bryan Roy (Tiffany). He is also survived by six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home (11 N Main St, Petersburg, WV 26847). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
