She was predeceased by: her parents, James Foster and Ada Elizaebth Hylton (Sink); her husband Alvey Ray Burnette; her children, Ada Alice Burnette and Christopher Ray Burnette; and her siblings, Mary Campbell, Laqueta Best and James Hylton.

She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Lee Adams; her siblings, Beatrice Gwinn (Timmy), Fada Herrick, Joanne Anderson and Dexter Hylton; her grandsons, Mark Edward Adams (Amanda) and Andrew Wood; and her great grandchildren, Aiden Adams and Carson Adams. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
