He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis William Bennett and Rissie Taylor Bennett; his son Lewis Wayne Bennett; his sisters, Ellen Jean Anderson and Helen Mundell; and his brothers-in-law, Junior Meade and Richard Mundell.
He is survived by: his daughter Denise Bennett; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Kimberly, Dennis and Lewis; his sisters, Carolyn Meade of Mill Creek and Sandra Miller (Gary); his niece Christi Phillips (Jarrod) of Beverly; and his close friend Terry Croston. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, one great-great-grandchild.
