He was predeceased by: his parents, Ashby Gibson and Bernice Irene Hammonds Gibson; and his siblings, JoAnn Casto, Charlotte Jackson, Cheryl Gibson, Judy Shreve and Harold Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Connie McCauley; his children, Shawn L. Gibson (Siara) of Morgantown and Tonya L. Hamilton (Tim) of Wilmington, NC; his grandchildren, Avery Landon Gibson, Kiara Marie Gibson and Ashby Cohen Gibson; and his siblings, Karen, Lonnie and Joe Gibson.
