With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mark Alan Carr of Mineral Wells, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 9, 2025 at the age of 66. As we bid Mark Alan farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mark Alan is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dale Carr and Barbara Carr of Mineral Wells, WV.; his wife Catherine Carr of Mineral Wells, WV; his siblings, Steven Carr (Nancy) of Mineral Wells, WV and Dianne Wheaton (Lewis) of Mansfield, OH; his nephews, Ryan and Justin Wheaton; and his niece Lindsey Stewart (Carr).
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory - Parkersburg (403 7th St, Parkersburg, WV 26101). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
