He was predeceased by : his parents, Earl Pitzer and Pauline Pitzer (Strawderman); his siblings, Cheyla Kay McVicker and David Pitzer; and his siblings-in-law, Mitzi Pitzer and John Thomas Frey.

He is survived by : his children, Paul Pitzer Jr. (Kelly), Pamela Pitzer and Candace Hoskinson; his grandchildren, Andrew Pitzer, Abby Roche, Molly Green, Jake Hoskinson and Justin Hoskinson; and his siblings, Gene (Joan), Lowell (Sue), Noretta Frey, Sandra Simpson (Cecil) and Karen Whaley (Marvin). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
