Gatha Lea Hurley Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 3, 2025, at the age of 90, Gatha Lea Hurley of Monongah, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Dennison and Gladys Gregory Dennison; her husband Tom Hurley; her son Jeff Hurley; her siblings, Gary Dennison, Mary Ann Klara and Carol Cleveland; and her brothers-in-law, Eugene Hartzell, Ed Copenhagen, Edge Klara and Bob Cleveland.
She is survived by: her son Milton "Spud" Hurley (Debbie) of Monongah; her sisters, Sue Slimmer (Jack) of Myersville, MD and Mabel Berry (Junior) of Carmichael, PA; her sister-in-law Mary Dennison of Frederick, MD; and her grandchildren, Shane Hurley (Brandi), Chase Hurley and Beau Hurley (Kristal). She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Domico Funeral Home (414 Gaston Ave, Fairmont, WV 26554). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
