He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Ann Parker Atkinson and Jennings Ray Atkinson. He is survived by: his wife Teresa May Peters Atkinson; his son Kameron Tyler Atkinson; his daughter-in-law Gloria Atkinson; his grandchildren, Oaklea, Journiee, River and Willow Atkinson; and his siblings, Daniel, Kenny, David Atkinson, Margaret See and Lynn Atkinson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to assist with Richard's cremation expenses.
