With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Lawrence Shirk Sr. of Moorefield, West Virginia, born in Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on June 9, 2022 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Richard Shirk, Sr. and Eleanor Joy Sherman Shirk; and his mother-in-law Patricia Ann Wyman. He is survived by: his wife Jane Elizabeth Shirk; his sons, Gary Shirk, Jr. (Monica) of Maysville, WV and Benjamin Shirk of Moorefield, WV; his grandchildren, Joshua Malachi Shirk and Abigail Elizabeth Shirk; and his brothers, Rick Shirk (Aneita), Danny Shirk, Mike Shirk, Scott Shirk (Patsy) and Lincoln Shirk. He is also survived by in-laws, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations, wearing of masks and social distancing by individuals unvaccinated is recommended.
