It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leona Reynolds of Moorefield, West Virginia, who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Leona may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Leona touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lantz Edward Evans and Beulah Elizabeth Woerner Evans; her husband Thurmond Scott Reynolds; her sister Fay E. Butler; and her stepchildren, Patricia Dolecki and Gerard T. Reynolds.
She is survived by: her daughter JoEllen Halterman of Baker, WV; her stepson Gregory S. Reynolds of Moorefield, WV; her granddaughter Jane Halterman of Baker, WV; and her brother Karl L. Evans of Moorefield, WV.. She is also survived by ten step-grandchildren; sixteen step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel (107 Washington St, Moorefield, WV 26836). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
