She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dixie "Allen" Shoemaker of Wardensville, WV and Bonnie Lou Evans Barkley of Moorefield, WV.; her grandparents, Herbert "Buster" Evans, Dixie Shoemaker and Helen Heavner; her sons, Brian Helmick of Palmyra, VA and Preston Helmick of Moorefield, WV; her brother Nathan Shoemaker (Michelle) of Lahmansville, WV; her grandmother Priscilla Evans; and her pet Trooper.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel (107 Washington St, Moorefield, WV 26836). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
