He was predeceased by: his parents, Nunley Poffenberger and Jessie Varney Poffenberger; his wife Patricia "Pat" Poffenberger; and his sister Betty Lou Williams Stacy. He is survived by: his children, Alan Poffenberger (Traci) and Lisa Poffenberger; his grandchildren, Paige Cook (Brandon) and Carson Poffenberger; and his brother-in-law Harvey Stacy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
