She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Magwood Boyd and Garnette Mabel McCoy Boyd; her brothers, Gerald Boyd and Eugene Boyd; her nephew David Boyd; and her sister-in-law Geraldine Boyd.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Joanne Boyd; her nieces, Catherine DeRusha (Kent), Connie Evans (Jerry) and Susan Petrik (Bob); and her nephew Peter Boyd (Laura). She is also survived by 13 great-nieces and nephews and 15 great-great-nieces and nephews.
Through her work, she made a lasting contribution to her field and to the many lives she touched in the classroom and beyond.
