He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel N. Shaffer Sr. and Gladys Shaffer; his sister Diane Sayre; and his granddaughter Angelina Rose Yoho. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Shaffer; his children, Yvonne Yoho and Charlie Shaffer; and his grandchildren, Shane, Clarissa Shaffer and Gracee Yoho.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hastings Funeral Home (153 Spruce St, Morgantown, WV 26505). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
