He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Smith and Jessie Vanable; and his siblings, Eddie G. Smith, Marcus "Champ" Smith, Gwathaney Smith, Robert "Bobby J" Smith, Carl Smith, Daryl Price, Robert "Jocco" Price and Jeanette Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Blue Smith; his children, Donald Bradley Smith (Myia) of Columbus, Timothy Barrett Smith of Columbus, Marcia Lewis of Martinsburg, Deirdre Goliday of Warren, Elder Beverly Michelle Locke of Warren and Sharonda Taylor of Columbus; and his sisters, Eglociree "Sis" Walker of Warren and LaSharon "Cookie" Smith of Morgantown. He is also survived by thirty-eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
