He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Whisler and Phyllis Whisler; his son Steven Whisler; his sister Linda Steele; and his former wife Donna Whisler.

He is survived by: his sons, David Whisler (Mary) of Gladesville, WV and Timothy Whisler (Stephanie) of Morgantown, WV; his granddaughter Hannah Whisler; and his former wife Ruth Mullens. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Edwin Wayne Whisler, Jr., 81, of Morgantown died on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV after a battle with Alzheimer's.
