He was predeceased by: his parents, Ocie Norene (Akers) and Fred Wells; his wife Glenna; his son Charles; his brother Dick; and his siblings-in-law, Daisy (Steele), Roy Boles, Pearl "Jerry" Shimer (Boles), Ina Dotson Hartman (Boles), Ronald Shimer, Charles Dotson and Glenn Hartman.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Wells and Stuart Wells (Bonnie Brown); his grandchild Clancy Wells; and his sister Ramona Ann (Harold Goodman). He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
