He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lee Mason and Patricia Ann Mason. He is survived by: his children, Rachel Savannah Roberts (Mars Roberts), Caleb Delaney Mason and Jacob Elijah Mason; and his siblings, Penny Lee Wayson, Rebecca Diane Feeney, Laura Beth Higdon and Donald "Skip" Stephen Mason. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor John consider donating to the Mountaineer Athletic Club.
