In loving memory of John H. Phillips (Morgantown, West Virginia), who departed this world on June 20, 2025 at the age of 83. John leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his significant other Judy Phillips; his siblings, Edgar, Oley and Gladys; his parents-in-law, Virgil and Helen Whetzel; and his brother-in-law Virgil Whetzel, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Scott (Becky), Elaine Riffle (Chris) and Idgie; his siblings-in-law, Dave Whetzel (Jo) and Linda; his grandchildren, Meghann Savasta (Thomas), Logan Chapman (Emily), Tanika Riffle and Brooklyn Riffle (Joey); and his great grandchildren, Silas, Brynlee, Adalynne, Emersyn, Elliana, Paxton and Jansler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McCulla Funeral Home (770 Fairmont Rd, Morgantown, WV 26501). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
