It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph William Leonard III (Morgantown, West Virginia), born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 9, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his children, Beth Leonard Jackson (Carney), Joseph W. Leonard IV (Barbara), Virginia Leonard Vining (Peter) and Dr. Stephen S. Leonard (Kelly); and his sister Elizabeth Eck. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (3334b University Ave, Morgantown, WV 26505).

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Joe may do so by contributing to the Loyalty Permanent Endowment Fund - in the name of the Joseph W. Leonard IV Scholarship Fund; The Erickson Alumni Center, Loyalty Endowment Fund, P.O. Box 4269, Morgantown, WV. 26504-4269.
