She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hilling Sr. and Etta McDonald Hilling; her husband Jack Maxon; and her daughters, Melissa Maxon and Kristy Maxon Wolfe.

She is survived by: her children, Cindy Johnson (David) of Lawtey, FL, Jack "Jay" Maxon of Morgantown, WV, Mindy Riley of Morgantown, WV, Shawn Maxon of Morgantown, WV and Timmy Maxon of Morgantown, WV.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Nicholson Chapel (1346 Summers School Rd, Morgantown, WV 26508).
