With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lonnie William Johnson Jr. (Morgantown, West Virginia), who passed away on September 16, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Johnson and Mary Catherine Johnson; and his siblings, Bitsy Johnson, Denzel Johnson and Dorie Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Johnson; his children, Crystal White, Mary Catherine Taylor, Mindy Johnson and Lonnie William Johnson, III; his grandchildren, Kala Gibson, Courtney Gibson, David Gibson, Jr., Isayah Jones, Emma Plum, Aurora Plum and Dakotah Plum; and his siblings, Sue Harker, Jane Lewis, Betty Shaffer, Rose Skupnick, Cathy Johnson, Robert Johnson, Darlene Thome, Rocky Johnson, Teddy Johnson, Denise Franks and Carroll Stieringer. He is also survived by his family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Nicholson Chapel (1346 Summers School Rd, Morgantown, WV 26508). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
